Participation rates and satisfaction say nothing about adoption. Here are the four families of indicators we put in place with our clients.
Adoption can be measured. Poorly measured, it gives a misleading sense of progress: full rooms, flattering evaluations, and no change in practice.
Four families of indicators
Understanding: ability to restate the strategy and its concrete implications.
Practice: observable frequency of the new work behaviour, on a representative sample.
Residual pain points: number and severity of obstacles still reported by teams.
Business effect: the performance indicator the practice is supposed to move.
A simple cadence
A starting point before the intervention, a measurement at 90 days, a measurement at 6 months. Three readings are enough to steer — beyond that, the measurement becomes a project in itself.
